Objectives

Malvern Artists’ Society is an artist run, not-for-profit organisation committed to providing members with a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable artistic experience.

Since its inception in 1957, Malvern Artists' Society (MAS) has encouraged the advancement of visual art and has welcomed members at all stages of their artistic practice. MAS operates its own Art Centre, including a spacious, light filled Gallery and a professionally equipped Studio.


The objectives of MAS include:

MAS curates a busy exhibition program for individuals and groups, embracing many different styles and media. The Gallery is a beautiful art deco exhibition space and is available to hire. Art classes, demonstrations and workshops are conducted throughout the year in the Studio by accomplished artists in a range of mediums. Member only exhibition opportunities are also held regularly, complemented by publications and other benefits.

Art lovers and artists of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels are encouraged to become a member of MAS. Current members include those working in the following media: oil and acrylic painting, drawing, watercolour, pastels, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, woodwork, photography, mixed media and digital art.

MAS is located in Malvern (Naarm, Melbourne), 8km south-east of the CBD, with high profile frontage on High Street, easy free street parking and access by public transport and great coffee shops nearby.
