Terms and Conditions of Entry

Acceptable Works

This art sale is open to all financial members and teachers of Malvern Artists’ Society (MAS).  Works may be two-dimensional (2D) (e.g. painting, drawing, watercolour, printmaking, photography, digital, mixed media) or three-dimensional (3D) (e.g. ceramics, sculpture, textiles, woodwork, mixed media), but diptychs and triptychs cannot be entered.  A collaborative work created by two or more members may be entered.

The artist warrants that the work is their original work and does not infringe copyright, moral or other rights.  Works must not be AI generated or multiple versions of a generic item or commercial scale reproductions.  Limited edition, fine art prints are acceptable.  Works must not pose a work, health or safety risk or any other risk to people or property.  Wet or unfinished works or works that require significant installation will not be accepted.

Entry, Delivery and Collection

Artists may submit up to 10 works.  Artists must complete the Entry Form, or lodge their entry online on the MAS website, and deliver works to the MAS office on 16 February 2027.   Receiving hours for works will only be between 10am to 2pm.  Works delivered after this time will not be accepted.

Each work must have the label provided in this Entry Form (or similar) attached so that the information is visible from the front (2D works) or base (3D works).   The label must specify the Artists’ Name and each work’s Number and Price.  Works must be for sale and cost $300 maximum. No commission will be taken.

Artists must pay a fee of $15 no matter how many works are entered.  This fee is non-refundable unless the exhibition is cancelled.  Payment can be made via the online Entry Form on the MAS website (credit card/EFT), or in person (cash, EFT or credit card) on delivery day.  Electronic funds transfer (EFT) payment details are as follows:

Malvern Artists Society,

BSB 633 000,

Account 134376078.

Works may be hangable or unhangable.  2D works to be hung must be suitably framed.  Works on stretch canvas with painted sides will be considered framed.  These works must be fitted with flat screws or D-rings and wire for hanging (or similar material and strength).  Metal frames and stapled fixings are not permitted.  Works not to be hung must be presented in a neat and tidy way.  Mounts and cellophane are recommended for watercolours. 3D works must be freestanding with a stable base or be capable of being wall hung.

Unsold works must be collected on 24 February 2027 between 10am to 2pm.  MAS may dispose of a work that remains uncollected after a reasonable time.

Disclaimers

This exhibition will be held at the discretion of MAS.  Works will be displayed at the discretion of MAS, and in the manner decided by MAS (including possibly rotating on and off display e.g. due to number and/or size of entries).  All care will be taken when handling works, however MAS will not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage.

Artists grant MAS the right to create and reproduce images of themselves and/or their works in whole or part by any means and in any media for archival, promotional, or other purposes (including MAS website and social media). Artists must provide a high-resolution JPEG image of their works up to 1.5MB to MAS upon request.
